    I NSTALLING B ATTERIES1, Open thebattery compartment door

    2, Insert threebatteries into batterycompartment.

    3, Close thebattery compartment door

    I NSTALLING THE T ELEPHONE1, Insert the end of the handset cord into the cord jack,and the other end into

    the jack inthe left partmarked: at the baseunit

    2, Plug linecord in thejack marked on the base unit, and the other end

    into telephone line wall outlet

    1. When the telephone is instandby (idle), press the SETbutton for 2s until the display shows .2. Press the UP orDOWN button to modify the settingas shown.3. Press the SET buttonagain to confirm your entry.4. Press the SET buttonagain to edit the next settingitem.5. Repeat Item 2, Item 3and Item 4 until all settingare entered6. Press the DELbutton to exit anytime during the setup. The last setting entryin this exit will not be saved.

    T ELEPHONE F EATURES S ETUP

    PABX C ODE : When using behindPABX thatrequires dialing asep arate number toconnect toexternal lines. This PABX codewhen set willautomatically insert to the frontpart of thenormal telephone numberwhen you makea call .

    L OCAL A REA C ODE : This code is the region codethat identifies your telephone exchange area.If yourcaller ID number received includes thisLocal Area Code you may remove this codefrom the Caller ID the unitreceived by setting the same Local Area Code..

    S ETTING D ATE AND T IME Depending on the Caller ID serviceyou get from your local telephonecompany, thesignal received by the unit willautomatically update the TIME andDATE. If your telephone time and date are notupdated you can manually set it.

    1. Press the SET buttonto enter DATE/TIMEsetting2. When you are finished, theyear in display flashes.3. Press the UP orDOWN button to modify.4. When finished, press the SETbutton to enter the month editmode.

    (as same as year setting).5. Press the SET buttonagain to modify the day, hour and minute in turn.

    When using SET button toconfirm the setting of last digitin minute,the seconds in display will automaticallystart from 00

    6. When finished, the display willautomatically show the current week andcalendar

    1. Rotate the wallmounting knob as shown in thefollowing layout

    2. Install the baseunit to thewall and thenplug one endof line cordinto the junction box andt he other endinto modular te lephone line jack marked

    Identify callers beforeyou answer thephone. View the timeand date of each incoming call . Record up to 68 Caller ID messages sequential ly.
