1 General information and intended use
The HRD (D)-FUFFA/-FUFF fixed/loose flange wall sleeve allows all types of pipes to be inserted into buildings through ceilings or floors and is suitable for buildings with 2 pieces of waterproof sheeting and insulation in between. The fixed/loose flange is retrofitted by dowelling it (FUFFA type) onto a conduit or a core drilling or by setting it in concrete (FUFF type). The fixed/loose flange conforming to DIN 18195/DIN 18531/DIN 18534 enables buildings to be waterproofed according to the application. Depending on the the surface sealing used, the inlays prescribed by the waterproof sheeting manufacturer must be used.
2 General information
• The DIN standards and guidelines listed here are only valid in Germany. In all other coun-tries, the applicable versions of national standards and guidelines must be used.
• It is essential to observe the applicable country-specific standards and policies for any con-creting work carried out. This applies in particular to waterproof concrete components in accordance with EN 206-1, modular construction or working with self-compacting concrete.
• In loose and fixed flange constructions, there must be a distance of at least 300 mm to the building edges and hollow grooves and of at least 500 mm from building joints and structures to each other. If these distances cannot be maintained, special constructions must be planned.
• Not suitable for sealing containers (DIN 18535).
• Further accessories and information are available at www.hauff-technik.de and in the technical data sheets.
• It is important to protect the flange conduits from damage, moisture and impurities during installation. Check that all necessary components have been delivered and that they are not damaged. You must not install damaged components.
• Building entry installation must comply with the relevant professional association regu-lations, VDE provisions, national safety and accident prevention regulations as well as company regulations (work and procedural instructions).

Position waterproof sheeting 1 (a) and necessary inlays (b) – if required in the case of loosely laid sheeting – on the fixed flange following the instructions of the sheeting manufacturer.
Slide loose flange 1, with counterbores and chamfer, towards the waterproof sheeting over the threaded bolts. Then fit the flat washers and nuts on the threaded bolts. Screw the nuts in place crosswise with the torque spanner and tighten up several times.
