On those rare occasions in college where
you can actually get a chance to sleep, you
may experience something that few your age
can really appreciate, the morning. While
some may be able to wake up at the first bell
of their alarm, sit right up and already have
90% of their normal brain function, the rest
of us are not so lucky. We groan when the
blare of the alarm goes off and swing wildly
to try to get it turned off. Then, oh so slowly,
we go about our business. With so few brain
cells functioning at the time it is important,
nay, necessary to have a usual routine. This
will ensure that we have completed
rituals and actions that are necessary
we reluctantly walk to class.
Everyone may have a different r
and every day may be different than th
but we all have to get the same thing
in the small window of time before w
to leave. Displaying the 3 most co
routines, this map is the representation
actions, the movement, and in some
the sheer desperation of the morning
though it may be, at some point in ou
we all have to experience the morning
Alarm & Wake UpThe very start ofthe day. Thoughthe former may precede the laer, the me spent
betweenthe twoisunpredictable andchanging day today. One canonly hope tobeupbefore the secondring, or else face the consequencesasme passesyou by.
ShowerCleanliness isnext to godliness, thus, starng the day ocleanis starng the day
withthe energy ofZeushimself. But whenthe clock iscking youmay not alwaysget achance tostart the day right.
DresserWhereyougoto ndthe most basicnecessity, unseenby most whilst it iscoveredby the clothesofeveryday.Boxershortsare allyouneedto technically becovered. So early enoughin the morning, before the roommate hasawoken, youmay
be able togoabout your businesswhile inonly thisnecessity.
Breakfast
Whether it be a hearty breakfast, fullling every foodgroup, or simply a
handfulofcerealandsome money toget
acoee, we allneed food, eventually. But whenit isalready past the 11th
hour, youmay want toplanthis task foraer your morning class.
Couch & Television
Oh, the luxuries. Inthe early morningsthisisthe one me to take abreather, eat what
hasbeenprepared, watchsome morningnewsandweather, andreally prepare
yourselffor the outside world.Or save
some me, skipthe food, andwatchsomecartoons, your choice.
Brush Teeth
Brush andosseveryday.Noadvice hasever beensohalfheartedly takenthanthat. But youcanat least take the me tobrushinthe mornings, just say youllgoandoss
later tonight.
ClosetOnce youhave your basic necessies(see Dresser), anything else maybe consideredsuperuous, technically. But if youwouldrather not be
shunnedby your peers(andpossibly arrestedby public safety)thenI wouldsuggest pung onat least one piece from eachofthe basiccategories: shirt, pants, shoes, andsocks.
Backpack & Supplies
Theresnopoint ingoing toclass ifyoure unprepared, sotake a secondmore tomake sure youhave everything. Ifyoudont, youmay needto take abit more than
just asecondout ofclassto runback andget what youneed.
