Sepro™ Technology I Tailor-made to meet your needs
Sepro launch and recovery systems are categorized into the following segments:
ROV handled over side, using deck mounted LARS that can
easily be mobilized or demo bilized (transportable equipment)
ROV handled over side, mounted on deck, on the wall or
hanging in the ceiling of the hangar (normally permanently
installed equipment in hangar)
ROV handled through moonpool (permanent installed
equipment integrated into vessel)
Sepro’s different LARS solutions are designed to achieve
maximum outreach and lowering, to ensure that the ROV and
TMS are handled out as far as possible and as close to the
splash zone as possible during launch and recovery.
These characteristics, together with snubber dampening
functions, are crucial during operation in harsh weather where
waves and wind can push the ROV towards the structure of the
vessel.
Reliability, maintenance, friendliness and sturdiness are key
elements in operation with ROVs and mo dules in subsea
operations, and the need for a consistently high quality is clear.

Safe handling in harsh weather
Sepro’s well proven ORS™ (Overhead Rail System) is especially
designed for installation in a sheltered hangar where a free
deck space (floor area) is given to ROV service and maintenance.
Our ORS™ solutions have great advantages in form of increased
lowering capabilities and clean deck area. In addition the ORS™
allows the hangar doors to be closed in lower section during
operations.
Sepro ORS™ solutions are the optimal choice for state of the
art vessels having a sheltered ROV hangar where equipment
will be permanently installed.
Each delivery will be tailor- made, designed to fit the actual
application.
Unique features
Sepro Overhead Rails System ORS™ is a ceiling mounted
handling system for launch and re covery of OBS class and Work
class ROV assemblies. The ORS™ HD has the unique vertical
movement along rails on ship-side, and can as an option be
delivered with a vertical movement through the splash-zone.
The assembly can be an ROV with TMS and tool package, or an
ROV in a cage. The Sepro ORS™ system will provide for a more
spacious hangar floor giving flexible work environment in the
hangar area.
The main beam assembly is fastened to the ceiling of the
hangar. On this beam frame moveable trolley runs back and
forth.
The snubber extension moves along the lifting arm, and is
intended for easy landing of the ROV on the hangar deck, giving
the ability to split the ROV assembly. The ROV can be landed on
the deck with the ROV latched to the snubber. The snubber with
rotating function is connected to the snubber extension to get
the ROV in position for landing.
On the ORS™ HD, both the lifting boom and the snubber can
be driven along the vertical rails and further down along the
ship-side rails through the splash-zone. The ROV can then be
latched and unlatched fully submerged under the sea surface
for safer operation and increased weather operating window.

CABLE ENGINES
36
No compromises
Along with the growth in offshore wind power and continued
development of high-speed data communication, the need
for effective cable laying equipment has increased. At Sepro
Technology we strive to help our cu-stomers improve their
effectiveness by implementing first class equipment.
Our technological leadership and our proximity to customers,
make us the ideal choice for vessel operators with high
expectations - so why compromise?
Built-in effectiveness
Cable laying is a complex task, primarily because of the dynamic
conditions of the ocean surface and seafloor. Our cable engines
constantly monitors and log cable pressure and laying forces to
ensure safe and effective handling of the product.
Sepro Technology’s 4-track and 2-track engines are designed
to give the best possible effectiveness, by using a feed-back
loop to adjust the tension on the cable. This way we control the
effects of the dynamic forces with our products.
Innovative cable engines
The 4-tracks cable engines are engineered for operation in
either 4-track or 2-track mode. The 4-track mode can handle
cables with large diameters, whereas the 2-track mode is
capable of handling smaller dimensions because only the
upper and lower vertical tracks are used.
The vertical and horizontal track shoes fit
different cable dimensions, giving the highest possible
flexibility of the equipment. The cable is always positioned
in the centre line, and can be set to speed-mode or tension
mode, depending on the specific site and situation.
The 2-track cable engines have similar functionality with
tracks that can accommodate different cable dimensions,
but only the vertical track shoes are in use, and therefore the
usability is more focussed than the 4-track versions. In the
2-track version, the lower track is fixed, and it is possible to
load and unload the cable from the side.
For both systems, a variety of options are available, and
solutions have been supplied for vessel operators in Norway,
the UK, and Denmark, so we know what customers expect.
Guaranteeing high quality
We only deliver a product to you that is fully functional,
thoroughly tested, and that lives up to all relevant
requirements. Therefore we test all systems at our factory in
Denmark, and document the systems for easy operation and
maintenance.
