Your shaper has to be a quick to operateand an absolute accurate machine thatguarantees perfect results thanks to itsexcellent smooth running!

The shaping height is comfortably adjustedby push buttons according to the digitalreadout. For easy settings, the adjustmentspeed for the tool height can be chosenbetween fast and creep motion. The abso-lute and incremental height are indicated.

The automatic soft start is activated bypressing the safety double key, as well as

the wear free brake are of course stan-dard features. The rotation direction of thespindle is clear to see and can be rever-sed easily, the plug for the connection ofthe feed unit can be switched on and offat the control unit and comes with thebasic model.

The depth of cut is exactly and easilyadjusted according to the digital counter. A hand wheel quickly sets the position ofthe whole fence and the infeed jaw can beadjusted separately by a big star knobaccording to the digital counter.

If required, the fence can be additionallyequipped with powerful electronics allo-wing the direct adjustment of the cuttingdepth in reference with the programmeddiameter of the tool. This special equip-ment reduces the set-up time noticeably.

For ring fence work, the fence can beremoved in an instant and remounted quick-ly after the job. With the optional swingingsupport the fence does not have to be lif-ted from the table but can be swung easilyto the back of the shaper when working andthus reduces expensive set-up time.

When mortising, the sliding table is the ideal special accessory for the MARTIN-shaper. The heavy and solid design of thesliding table, the possibility to swing it 45°(fence up to 65°) in both directions andmany features more make this option aunique accessory. It ensures accurateresults and save working when machiningcross-sections of wood.

The DORNFIX system, an arbor changingsystem developed by MARTIN, comes withthe T 20 basic machine and allows thequick changing of the arbor. Thus the

changing e.g. from a 30 mm to a 40 mmarbor can be done within seconds. Fur-thermore you have the possibility to usecomplete tool-arbor-combinations, which isanother time saving advantage.

You are looking for a tilting shaper with alarge tilting range of 2 x 45,50° that canbe used effectively, thanks to the paten-ted indication of the compensation valuefor the fence when working with tiltedarbor!

Thanks to the large tilting range of 2 x45,50° a new range of working possibili-ties has opened. Work pieces can alwaysbe processed from below with the spindletilted to the rear – a big step towards grea-ter flexibility and safer operation.

Cutting height and tilting angle can be com-fortably adjusted according to electronicdisplays. Height and tilting angle of the toolcan be adjusted within seconds by a„rapid“ and „creep“ push button adjust-ment. The absolute and incremental height,as well as the tilting angle are indicated.

Due to the four-line standard displayindicating also the compensation value forthe fence, settings with tilted spindle canbe done according to your drawings. Set-ups with tilted spindle are not a game oftrial and error anymore. The clever split-

ting of the diagonal spindle movement intoa vertical and a horizontal movementmakes this possible.

The cutting depth can be adjusted quick-ly and easily according to a digital counter.The complete fence is adjusted fast andprecisely by hand wheel and the infeedjaw can be set separately by a big stargrip according to a digital counter.

An easy-to-operate and very efficient 2-axescontrol is standard equipment of both Duo-Control machines, the shaper T 20 DuoCon-trol and the tilting arbor shaper T 26 Duo-Control. Thus the arbor and the fence canbe positioned electronically. Both, cuttingheight and cutting depth can be controlledand stored.

The control unit allows absolute and relati-ve positioning and each adjustment can bestored. The absolute positioning offers youadvantages when working with a certaincombination of tool and cutting result,such as the window profile for IV 68 (Ger-man style profile). You just need to storethe positions of the arbor and the fence –it’s so simple!

The relative positioning is very usefulwhen different tasks can be done with oneand the same tool, e.g. a rebate tool. Juststore the position of the tool when it is

flush with the machine table and the fence.Now you can work according to the dimen-sions of your drawings.

The T 26 DuoControl offers you additio-nally the full range of functionality of a til-ting arbor shaper. The arbor is tilted elec-trically according to the digital readout.The indications of the tilting angle and thecompensation value for the fence enableperfect working results with tilted arbor.

You want to reduce noticeably the set-uptime of complex profiles. Characteristicslike tool calculation, programming andonline machine operation are importantto you!

The T 26 CNC is equipped with a modernPLC unit supporting you to control the cut-ting height, spindle tilt, depth of cut andthe position of the infeed jaw. Even theautomated adjustment of the table openingto the tool diameter can be added as anadditional option.

If the machine is operated under the rightconditions, set-up times can be reduced bymore than 50% (compared to a conventio-nal tilting shaper). Even simple adjust-ments, e.g. rebates, are adjusted morethan 20% faster with CNC support. Apartfrom the speed, the exact repetition of atask is also a decisive argument.

Technically complex machines as the T 26 CNC do not necessarily have to beused in big work shops only. Whenever a lotof settings have to be done – leading to agreat loss of working time – you will see the

big advantages of this machine. The decisi-ve factor is always the reduction of set-uptime in comparison with the machine’s totalrunning time.

Once the inserted tool has been activa-ted, you work according to the dimensionsof the drawings. The indications of the cut-ting height and the cutting depth alwaysrefer to the reference level “table” and“fence” – even with tilted arbor. Set thereference point of the tool according toyour drawing and the task is set perfectly.

The easy-to-operate PLC allows you to

store 1000 individual tool positions and upto 100 different tool dimensions. Thus,repeating works can be adjusted withinseconds.

The motorized fence of the T 26 CNC canbe removed as well. If your machine isequipped with a swinging support, the pre-cision instrument “fence“ does not have tobe lifted from the table, but can be swungto the rear. If you equip your machine with the optionaltool-free quick cutter change systeminstead of the standard DORNFIX-system

which comes with the machine, the chan-ging of the arbor-tool-combinations andtheir activation can be done even faster.

The infinitely variable speed regulation ofthe arbor enables the ideal adaptation ofthe cutting speed to each task at a rangefrom 1.000 to 12.000 rpm. – also at run-ning machine.

Thanks to the large range of speed regu-lation, apart from profile grinding tools run-ning at very low speed, also tools whichrun at very high speed can be used at anideal cutting speed.

The 7,5 kW standard motor always sup-plies the ample power. If the machine isexposed to extreme strain, it can also beequipped with a 9,5 kW motor (T 2003/1respectively T 2603/1).

The machine can be additionally equippedwith the safety stop in order to help youwith dangerous cut-in working. This acces-sory guarantees safe and precise workingof the piece.

Mounted also at the left table extension,such shaping can be done exactly, as thestart and stop point can be determinedquickly and exactly.

When this accessory is not needed, thestop can be folded under the table exten-sion.

One challenge is the best possible closureof the opening between the tool and themachine table during the set-up of a shaper.

With the patented motorized table ringswe found the perfect solution. By turningthe corresponding knob, the eccentric rings,and therefore the opening, can be conti-nuously variably opened or closed.

You do not have to know which size oftable ring to use at the beginning of the set-up, but adjust the excentric ring at the endaccording to the size of the tool you use.

The digital readouts can do much morethan one might think at first sight. Theirdecisive advantage is the following: by sim-ply entering the arbor’s diameter, theactual cutting depth is indicated at once.

If the diameter of the inserted arbor isunknown, it can be determined just aseasily and precisely as the cutting depth.

The position of the infeed jaw is alsoindicated digitally, the jaw and the entirefence can also be moved incrementally.

The perfect positioning of the feed unitmounted to a conventional support oftentakes a lot of time. The MARTIN - feed sup-port, however, really supports you and hasmany decisive advantages.

Simply unlock the latch and swing thefeed unit aside to do the set-up of themachine. After the set-up, just bring it backinto the working position until it locks intoposition and start working!

The feed unit is adjusted absolutely par-allel to the fence so it is not necessary todo corrections to the adjusted angle. Ano-ther advantage is the comfortable motori-zed height adjustment of the feed unit.

The opening at the fence should be assmall as possible and the work pieceshould be able to slide along the fencesmoothly.

Both is possible with the integral fence.The bars of the jaws made of hard coatedaluminum can be positioned easily and –very important – their height is adjustable.

The bars can be stored in the fence justas easily, so that you can also work with aplate.

The more often you work with the curvedmilling stop, the earlier you will notice theadvantages of this accessory.

Whenever you have to remove the fencefrom the machine table, the swinging sup-port facilitates your work. Loosen the fixingof the fence, lift it up using the hand wheeland swing it into its “parking position“.

With the tool-free quick cutter changesystem, the changing of the arbor can bedone even quicker than with the DORNFIX-system.

If you wish to work at a T 26 CNC withthe tool management system, that meanswith complete arbor-tool-combinations –the tool-free cutter change system isabsolutely necessary. It reduces the set-up time noticeably.

If you would like to work also with routerbits, like e.g. shank-type cutter, the cutterarbor with spring chuck is the ideal solu-tion for your shaper.

The spring chucks are easy to changeand can be supplied for cutter shafts withdiameters from 3 to 25 mm. This guaran-tees a maximum versatility of the arbor.

In combination with small tool diameters,we recommend the infinitely variablespeed T 2003/2603.

Whether you do profiling of bigger crosssections or mortising and tenoning, it allcan be done easily with the sliding table.

The solid table, which offers a large andsafe support, can be turned in both direc-tions up to an angle of 45 ° (fence up to65°). Thus, also diagonally cut pieces canbe fixed and worked safely.

If the sliding table is not needed, it canbe lowered to the level of the machine tableand therefore also be used as a tableextension on the left hand side. The sup-port beam can be moved to the rear until itis flush with the front of the machine.

The slim guide arms support the piece per-fectly and prevent the piece from falling intothe opening of the fence. They can be usedfor nearly all kinds of works.

The bars made of anodized aluminum areinserted from above into the t-slots of thestandard fence jaws and then positioned.

The bars have the dimensions 260 x3mm,they can also be supplied with the dimen-sions 260 x 6 mm or 300 x 6 mm.

The set-up time can be reduced noticeablyusing the calibration unit. The insertedtool is brought up against the electronicsensor.

When the tool has reached the tablelevel, the indication of the relative heightof the machine is set to ‘0’ and you adjustthe required cutting height according tothe digital readout.

This device, in combination with the digi-tal fence T 2027/T 2627 helps you tosave a lot of set-up time. With that optionthe cutting depth can also be set electroni-cally - quickly and exactly.
